[He didn't usually go home with anybody for Christmas, except the year he'd gone with Prokopenko. Usually, he went with his mom up to Jersey to visit his father, but that never ended well. Having plans meant he didn't need to worry about his own shitty family. It meant he didn't have to hang around the mansion alone either while his mom went out to Jersey by herself, if he declined to go. It meant...he had someone he actually liked to share it with.

What happened with you and Christmas?
