[He ducked his head for a moment, picking at a loose thread on his jeans. He wasn't sure how he felt about being known, not having to hide the biggest secret he'd always concealed. On the one hand, it made him grumpy--or maybe he was still grumpy about Ronan. But on the other, it was a relief. He could just be himself without worrying about what he said or did, and yet- when you spent most of your life keeping a secret, it felt weird to have other people know it. It was a little unsettling.
But he listened, quiet and intrigued, even if he was partly tempted to sneer something about heroes. He was quickly distracted by the green orb Loki conjured, watching its motions like a cat watching a bird hop around. He'd never thought of himself as a hero and he knew he was never going to be a hero, but there was something admirable about those who tried.
Especially if people like dreamers were in danger. Ronan might have fucked him over, but Kavinsky didn't want to hear about someone hunting him down for any reason. He'd commit murder to keep Lynch safe, even now. And- there were other dreamers. Enough that people thought they were a threat. It was a strange feeling, uplifting and uncertain at the same time.]
Shit, man. That whole thing sounds like a huge mess. I know one thing about being a hero and that's that it's hard. Figuring out what the right thing is and doing it is hard.
[In his own way, he was trying to say it was admirable of Loki to even try and do the right thing like that, to try and protect people.]
